So hey, it’s a lovely Tuesday morning, why not start off your day with this visceral, disturbing segment from an actual Garfield TV cartoon?

Garfield: His Nine Lives was both a comic and a TV special in which Garfield is put through these various alternate universes, or “past lives”, in the form of nine animated shorts. Most of them aren’t worth mentioning, but this one, “LAB ANIMAL 19-GB”, feels like it could be something out of Felidae or Plague Dogs or something. Holy shit.

What the FUCK, JESUS. What’s worse, it’s really well animated and the drawings are appealing. I actually grabbed my face, yelling  the whole time. I couldn’t watch, Garfield, you’re not supposed to be good.

This is funny that it came up on my dash the other day, cause I was really thinking about how Garfield was such a thing in the 80’s and 90s. Wanting to go over the story of the character and all this. THIS piece of animation I have NEVER seen before, so if I ever get to those Cartoon Documentary things, I’ll be sure to remember this…crazy ending.
